Responsibilities

  • You will be the key system architect for the top management of our clients, understanding their requests, ideas and development needs in detail as well as within the full system context.
  • You design superior and innovative system concepts and architectures together with your team and the client, and present these to the top management.
  • You lead the development teams to specify the system and its subsystems and interfaces, with special focus on application relevant performance and testability of the entire system design.
  • You are the technical lead for innovative solutions over various development stages: from user needs to system requirements and architecture, with focus on special applications and quality performance.
  • You set up 'Design of Experiments' (DOE) and prepare studies to analyze distinct performance parameters and new technologies.
  • You ensure reliability and maintainability of each system by integrating service and monitoring functions.
  • Your moderation skills will enable the team to make optimal trade-off decisions during product development.

Qualifications

  • You are an engineer (ETH/FH) with at least 7 years of experience in medical device or lab diagnostic instrument development.
  • You managed interdisciplinary teams and you have a broad technical knowledge beyond the standard professional education.
  • You quickly familiarize yourself with new subjects like biological processes.
  • You are familiar with modeling techniques or modeling languages like SysML.
  • You are fluent in both oral and written English and German.
